I'm off to get my FRANKENTELE!!!

There's a story behind the nane FRANKENTELE... but that's for another thread... Wink

I have a 73 Fender Tele Custom Deluxe---AWESOME axe!!!! It's only got like two parts that are stock... the body, the volume knobs (not the pots) and the tuning keys... ok--3 parts. Everything else is aftermarket...

Anyway--just had an EMG H4 put in it and had the whole electronics cavitiy lined with foil---and the report I hear from my tech are that this thing is silent (no buzz!!!!!) and it's tone is unbelieveable... so we'll see.

Anybody else have a guitar that you've "modified"????

Most anything I have has been "tweeked". That said the most interesting guitar I have ever owned is my one off handbuilt Washburn USA prototype. The neck has a 1994 SN but there is absolutely NOTHING production on this guitar. Grover Jackson was running the Chigago Washburn Custom Show with a bunch of guys he hired in from the old Jackson and Hamer opperations and this one was a shop "toy". I own 7 of the Grover Jackson era USA custom Washburns made between 1994-1997. 4 MG's from 95 a LS 93 Silverado boutique Strat and the one off from 94 and last a solid black Stevie Salas sig neck through from 97. All of um are KILLERS but this one is unique and is a whole other world!!

Dude... nice pics of a really fine looking axe!

Thanks Brad but ya gotta see it in person sometime cauze it does NOT really show the color and how stunning the top really is in a photo!!
On posting photos just go over to photobucket.com and register it's a free service. Just sign up and then you can load up your photos and use the links under the photo to post um. Just copy and paste the links on the board you want to post on there is nothing too it man!
